From August 14 until the 17th the Optica Imaging Congress took place in Boston, USA. This is one of the most important conferences for our research area around the globe.
On this occasion, three Optolab team members had the chance to participate in it. They let everyone know about the latest advances in their current research. Accompanied by our director and professor of Escuela de Ingeniería Eléctrica PUCV Dr. Esteban Vera Rojas.
The postdoctoral researcher, Nelson Diaz, presented ‘Compressive spectral video by optimal 4D-sphere packing’.
Felipe Guzmán Vega, Ph.D. candidate had two presentations, the first one was titled ‘A scalable coding strategy for high-resolution snapshot compressive temporal imaging at high compression ratios’ and the second one was about ‘High-speed compressive video via temporal-coding illumination’.
Also, Alejandro Alvarado Vidal, a doctorate student, explained his research called ‘A sphere packing approach to design multiplexed multispectral filter arrays’.
This is a very important conference on Imaging, one of the most relevant research topics in our Optoelectronics Laboratory. Alongside the possibility of showing the work that is being done in Optolab, we were also able to build very important networks that will allow us to continue collaborating with people who are leading innovative research on applied optical sciences all over the world.
From now on, our researchers are getting ready for the next edition of this event in July 2024 which will be taking place in Toulouse, France.
