The Chilean Ministry of Science, Technology, Knowledge, and Innovation will be celebrating science throughout all regions of the country, free of charge, hosting of the Science Festival, which will lasts for 7 days. As the Optoelectronics Laboratory of PUCV, we will be part of this milestone.
The Valparaíso Region will actively participate in this initiative for 7 days, from October 1st to October 8th. This week full of science will kick-off with an event at the Quillota Paseo Shopping Mall featuring a drone show at 8:00 PM on Sunday, October 1st.
Different organizations and educational centers will be conducting workshops, immersive experiences, fairs, talks, and guided tours throughout the region all week. You can check the full schedule here by filtering for the Valparaíso region.
One of these activities is organized by our Optoelectronics Laboratory, Optolab, at the School of Electrical Engineering at PUCV. During this event, our team members will conduct guided tours and showcase, through experiments, the nature of the research we are conducting related to the various applications of the study of light.
This is an open activity for the entire community, with no need for registration, titled ‘Cleaning Space with Optoelectronics’. Groups of attendees will gather at the entrance of the Faculty of Engineering at PUCV, located at 2147 Brasil Street, Valparaíso, at the following times when the rounds of visits will begin: 12:00 PM, 2:30 PM, and 3:45 PM.
