We traveled to the NEAF expo in New York!

On April 15th and 16th the Northeast Astronomy Forum & Space Expo (NEAF) took place in the city of New York and our Optoelectronics Lab was a part of the latter edition.

Arturo Osorio González is a member of our Optolab team and currently is in the position of telescope engineer in our Proyecto Anillo SEETRUE, he traveled to get to the 32nd version of ” The world’s largest and most spectacular astronomy & space expo”, as they called it in their website.

Arturo explains the reason of his participation in this expo:

“We are currently in a acquisition stage, so this gave us the opportunity to talk to different manufacturers and services associated with astronomy that could be compatible with our project needs, managing to keep in touch with this suppliers”, he explained.

Among the speakers of the conference that took place in the expo was Fred Haise, astronaut and pilot of the lunar module of the Apolo 13 mission, about his presentation Arturo said “getting to know how he lived this very important space exploration event being one of the protagonist of that time in human history that’s being resumed, it was super interesting”.

This event was a very good opportunity, that allowed us to make contact with providers and experts, besides getting to know new products and services that are going to be very useful for the future of our Optoelectronics Lab.

We’ll be announcing and letting everyone know in what we will be using this new equipment that Arturo had the opportunity to see and learn about, once they are functioning ¡Check out our social media to find out sooner!
